Hi there,
I'm very new to using Service Management, having already used Jira software for my own work.
Previously I'd be managing requests and creating issues to work on them myself, but now that requests will be coming through via a Service Management project, I was hoping there'd be a simple way to add the content to an issue in the software project.
Otherwise, how does one typically do that?
What I had thought:
Thanks so much!
Hello M
I have something I do for my instance. I created an automation with a manual trigger that does this. I just use the "Clone Issue" action and specify all the fields I want copied from the JSM issue to the Jira Software issue. You can even specify that the cloned issue relates to the trigger issue, so it's obvious in the software project that this came from JSM.
If you need help walking through the automation writing process let me know.
Best,
Christian
Hi @M
I believe that native solution for this requirement can be hard to achieve, therefore, I would like to encourage you to one of the app we develop at Deviniti - Issue Sync Pro for Jira. Thank to this app, you will be able to decide what kind of conditions must be met to create a corresponding task in another project (or even instance). You can also map the statuses and automate them, and also share comments (and fields data) with no additional effort.
If it seems to be interesting for you, please schedule a quick overview with our team using our Calendly: https://calendly.com/deviniti/45min?back=1
We'd be glad show you the simple but powerfull tool :)
Best regards,
Klaudia
