I'm sending out a warning email about some miscellaneous policy to a bunch of users. In that email, I'm including a URL to automatically display the "Create Issue" web page with their userid as the "Reporter". The web link looks like this (sanitized for public display):
https://jira.example.com/secure/CreateIssueDetails!init.jspa?pid=NNNNNN&components=NNNNN&issuetype=3&summary=Need%20help%20with%20my%20<myusername>%20login&priority=6&reporter=<myusername>
Where <myusername> is replaced by the actual userid.
This link works fine, as long the user is previously logged into JIRA.
But if the person is not logged into JIRA, it gives a "Reporter must be specified" error, but no way to specify the reporter (and no hint that logging in will fix the problem).
How can I change this link to so a non-logged in JIRA user can click on the link and properly display the "Create Issue" web page, with themselves as the reporter?
Thanks in advance
Ben
Hi Ben,
you cannot create issues without login in JIRA Core. You can try to solve the problem using Issue Collectors or you need JIRA Service Desk..
