Trying to get all tasks and/or requests linked to an epic

Rick_S March 29, 2020

Here's the JQL I'm using to get all requests linked to an epic, but I'm not getting them all.  I know I'm doing something wrong here.

issuetype = Epic AND "Promotion Date" >= 0d AND issuefunction in linkedIssuesOfall("issuetype = task and issuefunction in linkedIssuesOfall(\"Filter = 'All Open Requests - AppDev version'\")")

Hi @Rick_S ,

The first syntax is issuetype = Epic, so the whole JQL will result in Epic issue type, not Tasks!

To get all linked issues, you can simply use this JQL:

issueFunction in linkedIssuesOfAll("subquery")

and specify the name and characteristics of epic in subquery.

It is not clear what the filter is referring to, give more details of what you're looking for.

Thanks @Parvaneh Zand for the response.  Here's the JQL that I'm running and all I get is Tasks:

issuefunction in linkedIssuesOfAll("issuetype = Epic and status not in (closed)")

Thanks in advance
