Showing All Sprints of a Project on Multiple Boards

Justin Sky February 12, 2019

Hi All,

Just spent 2 hours googling this to no avail. Here is our challenge.

We have 1 Project called PROJECT-X
There are two teams Developer Teams each with their own PM on PROJECT-X, Team-1 and Team-2

We have created separate boards for each team, however, you can only have 1 active sprint per project, therefore, we need to share Sprint A, B, C etc. between the Teams.

The challenge happens when the PM for Team-1 Creates Sprint C (for example) on Team-1's board, Team-2 & their PM cannot see this sprint at all, even as a blank sprint, to then assign issues to it and participate in the sprint.

Is there a way to show all Sprints of a Project to All Boards regardless of the filter?

We have tried the following:

Filter each board on their issues with no filter for backlog

Filter an ALL board to show everything, but it only works if you create a sprint and assign Team 1 and Team 2 issues to said sprints.

Thanks

Hello,

It is not necessary to have one sprint per project. Moreover sprints do not relate to a project. You can always enable the parallel sprints feature in the Application -> Jira Software Configuration.

You can not show a sprint on the board if none of the issues from the sprint are not selected by the board

You talk about Jira Software boards right?

This didn't really solve my core problem, but your work around is going to work great.

Thanks for the response.
