No board rules required

I work in Jira Cloud.
Found that the available rules for the board are very limited?
Could not find reason or settings for this.
Can anyone help me with this?

Hello,

I guess you talk about next-gen projects. Features in next-gen projects are quite different from classic projects. 

In next-gen project you manage workflows by adding columns in the next-gen board. You can not add more rules than already available. 

If you want more flexibility you should move to classic projects.

Do you mean rules for moving issues from one column to the other?

That is controlled by your workflow.
