This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring dashboards
In the intro of this article, it says "Each project has a default dashboard". However, I can not find anywhere in the system to set the default dashboard for a project. And the user documentation does not seem to cover it either? Can anyone help?

There´s no such thing as default dashboard for a project. Documentation is fuzzy, it says "Each project has a default dashboard, or you can create a personal dashboard and add gadgets to keep track of assignments and issues you're working on"
So, you can have a dashboard and use it as a default (asking the rest of the project team set it as favorite), but there is no way to set it as default as a feature.

Yes, that is very poorly worded. By "default dashboard", they were actually trying to say "the project information / header", which is absolutely not a "dashboard" in the sense of the word used everywhere else!
So is it just not possible to have user-specific default dashboards on the home page? Will it always start with the System Dashboard?
No, it'll start with the dashboard the user selects.

What configuration? There's nothing to configure here.
So in other words....to have a "Project Dashboard"...you effectively have to go create your own blank page, and add the dashboard gadgets.

EVERY project, should have a default page that is its dashboard, that can be seen by all team members, when the project is created.
