Summary field is missing on create issue screen

When i go to create a new issue, the summary field is not shown. When i go into project settings > Screens, I am not given an option to edit anything. When I go to issue layout and click on edit layout, it says it's not redirecting properly. I am an admin . The issues cannot be created wthout the summary field and I can't figure out how to get the summary field to display on the create issue page.

Hi @Kendra Hillman welcome to the Atlassian community.

It look very strange that "summary" field isn't available! I haven't come across this issue. You said, you are an admin. In that case, I assume you might be referring to Jira project admin and not Jira admin. Either case, I would redirect you to have a check with in-house Jira admin as first POC. And the second POC will be the Atlassian contact
