Hi im looking into ways to Automate updates on Multiple Jira tickets across multiple Jira project (and project types) is it possible to have a main Ticket linked to a another ticket in a different project but have the main ticket update when ever updates are added.

thanks for this Paul, could this also be achieved by selecting a custom field by any chance,i.e if a custom field contains a certain selection from a list can the automation be triggered to kick in and update the linked parent ticket?
Sure thing, just change the trigger to "Field value changed" and go from there.
