Become a Halp Leader and earn perks along the way

Greetings, friends,

Chances are if you’ve been spending some time in the online Community, you’ve noticed some members with the lozenge “Community Leader” next to their names. These folks are not members of the Atlassian team, but instead a group of incredible product experts and thought leaders who have raised their hands to answer questions, write articles, and start discussions here.

In exchange for their expertise, we offer a lot of amazing perks like access to our internal teams, exclusive Leader workshops, swag, and much more.

If you’re thinking, “I’m intrigued!” let’s dive into some of the details.

  • We do need to see a history of engagement in the online Community in order to be considered for the Leader program. We look for about 3 months’ worth or around 20 posted answers. We also like to see that you have a healthy amount of accepted answers, as that means the advice you’ve been giving has led to solutions for other members.
  • You don’t need to be familiar with all of our products in order to be considered a good candidate. If you’re a Halp expert only, we’d certainly welcome your participation.
  • Read our voice and tone guide to ensure you're crafting your responses in an empathetic, empowering and optimistic way
  • Make sure you're giving as detailed answers as possible (screenshots, step-by-step instructions, etc.)
  • Close the loop on threads where people ask follow-up questions
  • Keep info contained to the thread (versus linking out)
  • Ask question-askers to mark your answers as accepted if they've found them useful

We also have some Leaders who host virtual events all around the world, so if that’s more your speed, do check out ace.atlassian.com and try to attend a couple of events to see what they’re all about.

When you’re ready to step up to the plate, you can find our application page here. If you have any questions in the meantime, you can leave a comment below or email communitymanagers@atlassian.com
