Im trying to add a filter to the activity stream gadget.
I want to restrict the gadget only to show the activities related to that specific space.
To my understanding the easy way to do this simple task is to add a global filter in the gadget but that seems not to work.
I can create the filter space is name of space and click + and save.
But still the activity stream gadget shows all activities in my entire confluence.
.
@Shannon S I am trying something similar. I just want it add a filter that does not show a specific space and pages within the space.
I think it is Global filter and then space is not.. (space name)
Then everything but that space name will be shoved in the activity stream, right?
Hi Jacob,
Welcome to Atlassian Community and thank you for following up on this.
That's correct. When you set the space "is not" field, then the Confluence data that shows in your Activity Stream macro will be for any activity that happened outside of that space.
Example of my settings:
In this case, it shows all Confluence activity except the activity within Test Project space. Note that I also unchecked Jira under Available Streams because I didn't want it to display my Jira data.
Make sure to click Save under Display Options at the bottom left of your filter screen in to save any changes you make. You need to do this before clicking Save at the bottom right of the macro screen. Otherwise, any changes you make won't be saved.
Let me know if you have any trouble.

Hi @Nicolaj Hvid ,
I tried to do this and it worked correctly. Could you add a screenshot of both your macro settings and your filter configuration? I will gladly help you troubleshoot this further.

Hi @Nicolaj Hvid,
Are you still having a problem with your Activity Stream Gadget?
If so, you can provide an example of your current macro settings, as Darryl asked previously, so we can see what the issue might be.
If you were able to resolve it, please let us know, so it can help other people in the future if they have the same problem.
Regards,
Shannon

Hi, Ive got the same problem like Nicolay Hvid. We set up the space as filter but it still shows everything. I cross checked by setting to 'is not' and there is no real difference except that all space content of the selected space is removed. Space seems to be ok, as the system shows available spaces by auto fill.
We use Confluence 7.13.2
