Upgraded Confluence 6.11.0 to 6.15.7 and now no user can logon. :(

Can someone please help us! I cannot find anything on this issue. :( Our confluence upgraded successfully it looks like but we can't log in no matter what possible logins we can think of.

And copied + pasted whatever we saw appropriate from our old server.xml to the newly created server.xml file.

Can you please explain how was upgrade done? 
Also, please share the error logs from `atlassian-confluence.log` to better understand the problem.
