Unable to add new app to Confluence (cloud)

Moshe Hajaj August 24, 2022

I managed to add one (of 2) app, but every time I click the “start new trial” on the second app, I get this error message:

We ran into a little trouble
It might just be a hiccup. Try again in a bit.
Is there a way to know why the specific app won't install?

Hey @Moshe Hajaj

If you encounter this error message, the application was often installed anyway. It can also show up due to a missing or invalid payment method.

Best, Max

Hi Max,

I don't see it in the “Manage apps” page. And the site is currently on the free tier anyway, while the app has 30 days “trial period”.

That is really strange.

Do you have a payment method added to your site?

Best, Max

Not on this site. It's simply a free/temp site to check the app mentioned above. We're currently on Jira and Bitbucket cloud only (but, Confluence on-prem).

But that wasn't the problem with the other app (which was installed successfully, and then removed).

Thanks, Moshe

So, please try adding a payment method. This is a known issue, and this workaround tends to work. It's been discussed multiple times in the community. :)

I hope it fixes the issue for you with that specific app.
