Start a team feature not working; stuck in invited state

We followed the instructions below to start teams

The result is:

  1. No invitations are received by any users
  2. For team founders the users they invited are forever stuck in the 'INVITED' state

Yes, the inviters and invitees share the same email domain, so we don't expect invites to be sent, but why the 'INVITED' state?

Welcome to Atlassian Community. It's nice to meet you!

At this time, the users aren't receiving an email invitation when added to a team.

  • ID-7158 Get a notification when a user is invited to a team

As a workaround, the invited users can search for the team name in the Teams UI. They will be able to accept the invite there.

Thank you very much for your support Shannon.

Your workaround is a big help, although I have trouble searching for the team name, seems to work for some team names and not for others. I must be doing it wrong.

My approach for the search part is:

  1. Search a persons name who you know is in the team
  2. Click their name in the search results, which will open their profile
  3. On their profile you will see a list of teams that the person is a member of
  4. Click the team in that list to get to the team page

Users can accept the invite from here, no problem.
