Setup Gmail as an SMTP server for Confluence Cloud

Hello, everyone!

In the process of setting up Gmail as the SMTP server for Confluence Cloud, we encountered an undescriptive mistake, such as 'Something turned out badly. I am actually checking out the information accuracy at any time I click 'Test association.'

My attempts have involved certifications for a record with MFA, an application secret phrase for a record with MFA, qualifications for a record without MFA, and a record with 'less secure application access' enabled (which does the job for different devices using SMTP). Despite trying all of the above, I'm getting the same error message on 'Test association' no matter which port I use.

You don't get to configure SMTP for Confluence Cloud.  Do you mean server?

@Sophia David have you followed the steps from the following KB article? Just want to know what you've done so far so I can see how I can help you resolve the issue completely.
