Restrict users from creating new categories

Hi, has anyone manage to restrict categories?

All our spaces are categorised - choosing from an agreed list. But we find new ones being created - spelt incorrectly or jus because! 

any way of preventing users from creating new categories?

There's a way to hide elements using CSS or javascript for on-prem versions. I haven't seen something like this in cloud.

One way of restricting is limiting the space admin permission
