Problem with multi-exceprt plugin after upgrade to Confluence 4.2.11

Dawie Malan July 24, 2012

We're seeing the following error after the upgrade:

com.atlassian.upm.license.internal.impl.PluginLicenseManagerImpl cannot be cast to com.atlassian.upm.api.license.PluginLicenseManager

All plugins were updated, and Confluence restarted with no effect.

The issue was resolved by manually upgrading the UPM to the latest version (downloaded and copied to bundled_plugins).

Thanks for the help guys!

Hi,

What version of the multi-excerpt plugin are you using?

Also what version of the UPM are you using? I'd follow John's suggestion to upgrade to the latest UPM to see if that helps.

We could also try using the .obr file (an alternative to the jar plugin installation) if the UPM upgrade doesn't work.

thanks,

Brendan

Here are the versions:

Multi-excerpt plugin: 4.1.7

UPM: 1.5.2 (as reported on screen, but the version of the jar in bundled-plugins is 2.0.6)

All plugins are reported to be up to date.

Hi Dawie,

It sounds like you may have either encountered a new bug with the Confluence Multi-Excerpt plugin, or you are encountering a bug with the Universal Plugin Manager as described in this bug report: https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/UPM-1758

Therefore, firstly I would suggest upgrading your UPM to the latest version and if that doesn't resolve your issue then I would suggest you open a new bug report with the plugin's developers. Their issue tracker can be found here:https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?sorter/field=created&sorter/order=DESC

All the best,
John
