Placed macros not going where I'm trying to place it

Bailly Jamroz March 3, 2022

Hi there, I'm currently making a how-to article and I wanted to add an expand in the article for a collapsable section. I am trying to add it after step 7 and have the cursor there, but when I click enter after typing /expand and clicking on the macro, it ends up placing the Expand macro all the way down to step 12 after a photo. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm new to the software but haven't found a fix.

@Bailly Jamroz Welcome to Confluence!

What you are trying to do - insert an expand macro in the middle of a bulleted or numbered list, is not supported in the editor.

I assume you are doing something like the below:

Capture.JPG

And when you hit enter to try and get #7, it will not continue the numbering, or if you do it above the expand macro it moves the macro down.

If I am correct, then my answer stands. You cannot embed a macro in a numbered or bulleted list.

Yeah, I was looking to add the macro in between numbers. I realized that the reason it's going in between numbers is because something broke the list and the ones after 12 are manually numbered. Hopefully this is something that's added in the future. Thanks for the info!
