Move files

Hi I am a new admin in confluence  and i am facing issues. I want to move one  files from one location to the other, but when i try the documentation given me. The whole page files  end up moving.  I have not being able to find any documentation to help what i am doing any one have a suggestion.

Welcome to Atlassian community. 

I am not sure which steps you followed. So, I wanted to check if you have checked the Manage files documentation ?  On the page check if you have followed the steps under "Moving a file to another page".
