Hello,
I'm using the "Import Word Document" function on Confluence Cloud for the first time. I'm familiar with the function, as I have used it multiple times on an outdated server-based Confluence, but when I upload a document that contains multiple PNG-images on the Cloud based system, they do not get uploaded to the page; instead it just says "inlineExtension" where the image should have been.
How do I fix this? is PNG not supported?
Also, any watchers to the page gets absolutely spammed with notification emails when using this function; one for the text and ONE PER IMAGE ADDED! To me this is insane, and not very popular among my colleagues, as it used to store step-by-step guides with LOTS of pictures... Anyone know how to turn that off on a default/group level?
@Julie Kobbernagel Hey Julie. I've experienced something similar with attachments, except my pain is when I'm removing attachments from a new page that was created by copying a page that was being watched. Same result, watchers get spammed.
What I resorted to was making the page private (visible only to me), doing the busy work - deleting attachments, or, in your case, adding images - then opening it up after I was done. Clunky and annoying, but it seems to work.
Thanks Dan, certainly not the perfect solution, but a workaround I can use! I had hoped/expected they had come up with a more stylish fix...
