How to remove user from all product access

Jessirel Cubio June 12, 2019

Hi all,

We are using Jira Service Desk, Software and Confluence (Cloud)

What I want to know is how do I properly deactivate a users account in all the product access.

I tried reading this documentation , but I can't find the Directory mentioned in the article.

What I can only see in the user's settings is the Remove user option from Administration page.

If I remove the user, what will be it's effect to the issue's where the user is assigned to or created. Also in confluence what will happen to the articles that the user created or contributed in.

Jessirel,

When you select Administration,

2019-06-13_09-18-54.png. If you then select Users, you should see a list of users and their status, with a menu option displaying the following:

Revoke site access will disable any access to your Atlassian site for all products, assuming they are all under one site, e.g. - yourcompanyname.atlassian.net. If you don't see this option, you may not have the appropriate permissions.

Atlassian support has recommended in the past that you don't actually remove the user, which would be an option after revoking access, as it leaves all their work as "Unknown User" or "Former User".
