How to guess if i'm using the Cloud version or the self-hosted version ?

Luc PHAN November 22, 2019

I'm using several Confluence wikis, but I don't know if they are cloud-hosted or self-hosted.

Some features are only available in the Cloud version, and I don't want to spend my life trying to make them work if I'm on a self-hosted version.

How to guess if i'm using the Cloud version or the self-hosted version ?

Hi @Luc PHAN ,

it's very simple : if you're accessing the Confluence instance with a URL like xxx.atlassian.net then you're on the Cloud version. Otherwise, it's the Server version.

Let me know if this helps,

Hi Alexis,

I don't know much about Confluence, but does the Cloud version allow to specify a custom domain ?

Hi @Luc PHAN ,

at the moment the Cloud version only lets you choose the beginning of the domain : mycompany.atlassian.net
