How to delete content with AP.request

Efrain_Sotelo February 18, 2020

Following the FrontEndy approach ( , I learned how to GET and POST data but now I want to delete content.

The request JS api does not show explicitly the DELETE type (

I would like to know what can I use for deleting?

  • The backendy approach? But how to call it from the .hbs file
  • Is there a frontendy approach for that?, my unsuccessful try was this:

$('#cleanButton').on('click', function(){

   url: '/rest/api/content/4390970',

   type: 'DELETE',

   success: function(){ console.log("Item successfully DELETED"); },

   error: function(err){ console.log("Error deleting item"); }

Thanks for help in advance, I am learning and I am new in this "request" world.
