How to add a new Confluence Admin

We just added a new employee to Jira, however we cannot for the life of us get him access to Confluence, which we recently added. He is an administrator in Jira & Confluence, but is getting the "access denied" screen when attempting to access.

Please help. This is driving us batty!

First, check who has "can use" rights in Confluence - Admin -> Global permissions. Secondly, if he's an admin in Confluence, he will have access to the admin stuff, but not necessarily any pages.

I think what I'm heading for here is "Check his group membership vs what groups can do". I expect you'll find he's missing a group, or he's got a couple of similar accounts and he's logging into the wrong one
