How do you "tab" . space or reformat?

I am brand new to Conflence, but finding it very difficult to learn.  I have imported a User Guide from Word, and my formatting that was created with various headings and tabbed to create an outline disappeared.

Now, I am trying to "tab" paragraphs to the right using Confluence, and cannot find out how to do this.  

This seems like it would be such a simple action, but so far, cannot see how to do it. 

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
