im looking at building out our Teams and Spaces. I need each team on board and following our guide. Can HR publish critical information in Confluence? Most of our teams use Confluence for collaboration, but we need it to be used as a knowledge base. m I would like to know if others have accomplished this and if this is what I should be aiming for.
Hi @Ashley Bird ,
There are a number of templates available out of the box with Confluence Cloud that are made specifically for HR needs, so you don't even need to start from scratch.
Oh interesting! I will have to look at what those are.

Hi Ashley - We use it for Human Resources functions - particularly in the form of an online Handbook and it is the primary source of information regarding all things HR - from DEI initiatives to benefits enrollment within our organization

I like that and would use it for that but our company seems to be wanting to use other software to show those things. I wish we would all align.

Yes, you can use Confluence to host HR information, that is exactly what we are doing. Everyone get access to Confluence and we are using it for documentation, intranet, publish policies and standards, knowledge base linked to JSM and everything in between.

I see that for our company, but we are scattered between other software. We are picking up speed, though. It's just we now. The struggle is real. But I am only one small person. Thank you!

We have HR information on Confluence (remote work policy, benefits, procedures for submitting expenses, company org chart, etc). One of the reasons this works really well is that almost all our information is created and stored on Confluence, so everyone knows that if you're looking for the latest team XYZ notes, how to request training, or what the current strategy & quarterly objectives are, they're all on Confluence.
Here are a couple benefits of using Confluence for HR information:
Hope you can find another Confluence fan in your company to help evangelize and get people on board.

Hi @Ashley Bird
Indeed, as many others said, it is possible, just double-check your restriction settings for those pages that contain critical information.
If you need to use Confluence as a knowledge base we have a great app called izi LMS for Confluence. It enables to create courses and quizzes in Confluence the same way you create pages and use them for training, onboarding, and compliance.
Let me know if you wish to know more :)

Hi @Ashley Bird , yes this is definitely possible. I facilitated our company to have the HR documentation for personnel on Confluence and also automated several processes, so HR would mostly use Confluence as a tool for interaction with employees. HR and employees were very pleased.
