Default Useravatar returning 403 Http Error

Julian March 17, 2020

I am running confluence 7.3.3 behind a nginx reverse proxy (configuration below). Confluence isn't able to get the default avatar (https://<baseUrl>/images/icons/profilepics/default.svg) at all, it's returning a 403 error. Does anyone know what I could do in order to fix that?

Nginx configuration: (Please note that confluence is not running on the same machine)

I run Confluence in Docker with nginx reverse proxy and expirience the same problem:

GET https://someotherrandomstuff/_/download/images/icons/wait.gif 500
GET https://<url>/images/icons/profilepics/default.svg 404
GET https://<url>//images/logo/default-space-logo.svg 404

I also tried, still doesn't work (when I use http://localIp:8090/images/icons/profilepics/default.svg) it works. So I think it might be something in the nginx / confluence webserver configuration
