Confluence Kafka JDBC Sink Connect - DB2

Senthil Manoharan Nagarajan November 19, 2019

We are trying to setup Confluence Kafka JDBC Sink Connector to consume data from Kafka Topic and insert the data into DB2 tables.  We are able to successfully configure the JDBC connector.   However, want to know more details about the following:

1.  When Database refuses connection, Connector just aborts and mentions that a manual restart is required.  How to retry Database connection for a specified number of times?

2. When the Connector is manually restarted, it tries to read the data from beginning of the topic rather than from last processed offset.  How to accomplish this?

3. How to skip the failed record and process the next record in Kafka Topic?

If you have link to any available literature that helps to answer the above questions, it would be helpful.

Thanks

Senthil
