I have created several pages in confluence, without issue.
I am currently unable to edit a certain page.
Every time I select Edit, the pages asks me to click recover page.
I'm then in edit mode, but when I attempt to highlight some text to change or attempt to place the cursor at a point to add text. The whole page is highlighted and I can't seem to stop this.
I'm then still left unable to edit the page.
I'm unable to delete the text from the page to be able to start again.
I had the same problem. You should have a look at the xml source of the page. My page had a broken layout. I guess your page has a complex layout with more than one row e.g.
Look, if the </ac:layout> tag is not at the end of the xml source. If it is in the middle of the page you can try to recover the layout of your page in the xml editor by comparing it with a small demo page you have created.
But I also think that easiest way is to restore an earlier version of the page.
Dear Craig,
Is it a possibility to restore the page to a earlier version? You can also manage your own drafts through your profile, and try out of removing cache works.
Friendly Regards,
Jeremy Mooiman
