I am trying to incorporate the table spreadsheet macro onto a page I am designing, but the data within the table I'm inputting never seems to save.

Once adding the macro, I add my data, then go to hit file > save > the tick icon. However, when I click out of the macro and go to preview my page, a message pops up saying "attachment not found" and all my data is lost.

Any ideas?

Many thanks!

Hi @Oscar Todman ,

The Table Spreadsheet data is saved as an attachment to the page. Please check if you have permissions to add attachments to this specific page (attach a Word file, for example, and check if you see it in the list of page attachments).

The Table Spreadsheet macro attachments should be seen as Spreadsheet_date.render and Spreadsheet_date.tfss files (a pair of files for each Table Spreadsheet macro).

And you may also try to insert a new Table Spreadsheet macro and add some dummy data in your personal space where you have all the permissions by default.

Do your colleagues encounter the same issues with the macro?

If the issue persists everywhere, you may check your browser console for any errors and refer to our support.

Hello @Stiltsoft support,

I encountered the same issue. Even though i have all the permissions to my space i am getting the error while saving the changes. There are some users who are facing the issue  well. We have issue in Chrome and edge where it is not loading at all.

Please suggest the resolution.

Best Regards

Sam

Hi @Sangram Darole ,

Nothing more to add from our side, seems that it is not a global issue: we don't have similar tickets in our support and questions in Community.

You may check if the issue persists with one specific spreadsheet or you add a new one and also can't save changes.

If a new spreadsheet behaves well, make sure that the spreadsheet with the issue really has its attachment (that nobody deleted it).

If everything looks okay, open the browser console, reproduce the issue and send the HAR file to our support.

Hello @Stiltsoft support ,

I am experiencing the same issue as described above. It is 100% reproducible.

Newly created tables are part of the attachments of the page but are not found if I want to open them with the Table Spreadsheet. A bug has been reported with the following number: TFCS-3991.

This only occurs with newly created tables. Older tables do not have this issue.

Best regards,

Matthias

Hi @Matthias König ,

Yes, we received your ticket - still it is not a general behavior of the app.

The support engineer will check why the macro can't locate its attachment.

You may also try to find the attachment by its name through Confluence search - do you see it in the results?

If no, it may be because the search index of your Confluence instance is broken and you need to reindex it.

Hello everyone, @Oscar Todman @Matthias König @Sangram Darole

I had the same issue, but in DataCenter not in the Cloud

After some head scratching I realised that the *.tfss. and *.render file types were not in the whitelist of the "Attachment-Checker" plugin. I added them and now it works without any problems. Maybe you are using a similar plugin in the cloud?!

Best regards
Ronny

Good morning,

Same issue here, I tested to things:

  • Creating a new page in my space where all permissions are granted, add the spreadsheet macro, add 1 value to the table and try to save.
    • I get get the error that confluence can't save the table
  • I also tried to import xls and xlxs from the macro configurator and get errors that the format is not compatible.

Best regards,

Guillermo
