Hi - this has annoyed me for a while, thought I'd better post it somewhere.
When I work on a 'blog post' with my team and hit publish, confluence reports the publisher as three different people depending on where you look.
There are three 'profiles' confluence seems to pull out
Here's a list of what reports what
Slack integration: Draft page creator
Confluence feed: Publisher
Blog macro, excerpts: Space creator
Blog macro, entire: Draft page creator
Recently Updated Macro: Space creator
Blog page attribution: Created by draft page creator, edited by publisher
Email notifications: Publisher
Confluence notifications: Publisher
This is a complete mess and whilst it gives me a good laugh every time we publish a blog post, it'd be nice for confluence to report consistent information. To me, the correct person to report would be the publisher, rather than the draft page creator or space creator.
@Pip Turner Thank you for researching this. I thought I was going nuts.
I would really like this to be fixed. Seems like something that should be easy to resolve.
This process confuses my team as well. Thanks for your list and explanation!

it's crazy! feels like there should be an easy source of truth to point to.
