Hi,
Exploring this awesome functionality and I have similar questions already posted, so I'm following those, but I've come across one use case where it would be great if searches made in the top right search box or advanced search would search amongst entries in databases as well.
Is that something that will be added later?
Thanks
Hey Chris - thanks for your questions! At the moment, databases in our most recent Beta experience can be searched for by title only in our global search. We're looking into adding search by content (entries in a database) in the future.
are there any updates on this matter?
We have started to integrate databases deeply in our instance. Not finding db entries in the global search is starting to lead to problems, especially since we always tell our users that the Confluence search is so good, that they will find everything they are looking for.
Looking forward on hearing from you regarding this! :)

Hey @Lucy Newton and @Anne-Sophie G - these are great use cases for databases, thanks for sharing. Totally hear you that global search by content would be useful here - we don't have a timeline to share on when we're able to build that out but when we do, we'll definitely share!

Thanks for the feedback @Divya Sriram we're excited to seeing this essential feature expand. It's something we've been looking forward to for a long time!

Hi @Divya Sriram - this is also a critical feature for our proposed use cases of databases. We want to use databases to hold production information, and also for a master log of controlled documents. In this case it would be essential that users could global search by document title and document number without knowing the location of each database.
It would be great to see a timeline of when this (and other) features will be added.
Thanks,
Lucy

Hi @Divya Sriram , to extend on Chris's comment, this is a use case for which the Database feature would be useful for my company:
We would like to build a database of all our commercial content assets, which are now stored across multiple systems.
In this view, it would be handy for our Sales team to be able to search for "product X collateral" and then the database (or even better, the related entries) shows up in the search results.
Else, all users will have to know the location of each database of interest in Confluence.
