Databases not shown in Jira Service Management Knowledge Base articles?

I see that databases in a Confluence page that is linked as part of a Knowledge Base to a Jira Service Management Project are not shown as databases in the Jira SM context - you only get a link to that database. 
Is this intentional? I hope not. This would mean that non-licensed Confluence 'customers' can not consult datafied information in Confluence. And of course, it is in many cases exactly data that you want to disclose to service desk customers.

Hi

According to the Database team:

Unfortunately service desk utilizes a different editor than the one you see in Confluence and other Atlassian surfaces meaning smartlinks don't render in the same way or have limited options. My advice would be to reach out to their team and explain this problem as there is nothing we can do about it from our end.
