A little bit of customization for Compass' GitHub (or similar) based metrics would go a long way.
A few ideas so far that would enable me to be able to use the metrics as a source of truth vs relying on other tools:
- Pull request cycle time - Ability to set this to look at ranges (weekly, monthly, etc.) and not the last 10 PRs. Depending on PR velocity, simply averaging the last 10 could give inaccurate results.
- Deployment Frequency - Not everyone uses their default branch as their production branch, so being able to specify a non-default branch to track here would be great.
- Open PRs - Would be great to be able to filter out "draft" PRs from this metrics
I'd love to hear others thoughts!
