New feature, labels!

The team have been working hard on a gaggle of new features and I'm really pleased to share that labels have reached production! As of right now you can jump into Compass and start adding labels to your components. It's a great way to capture those extra bits of information that Compass doesn't already have a home for. Next up for this feature, we're going to include labels in search — giving you a handy way to record component aliases (or whatever else jogs your memory!).

We're hugely appreciative of all the time and feedback our alpha customers have given us, but we're always hungry for more! What uses have you found for labels? Got any ideas for how you'd like them to evolve? You can share feedback here in the Community or via the Give feedback button inside Compass.

New feature improvements, labels!

• We've adopted the colourful label design from Team Central — snazzy!
• Label autocomplete so you can be sure you're using the same spelling everywearhere.
• And search by label now works! Use labels to capture aliases or anything else that leads you to the right component.

As an alpha product we're going to keep shipping MVP experiences like labels, refining them based on your feedback and carefully evaluating which features we need to push forward first. Let me know (here or via Give feedback in product) what you'd like to see next for labels in Compass.
