using git first time and getting error in git push

Below is error while i am trying to checkin

[kavithae@devrh72-1 common]$ git push origin
fatal: The current branch master has no upstream branch.
To push the current branch and set the remote as upstream, use

git push --set-upstream origin master

[kavithae@devrh72-1 common]$
[kavithae@devrh72-1 common]$
[kavithae@devrh72-1 common]$
[kavithae@devrh72-1 common]$ git push --set-upstream origin master
fatal: 'origin' does not appear to be a git repository
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights
and the repository exists.

Well you are missing apparently your remote. You have to set it up before pushing to it.
