The last was a blast and you have asked....so our next meeting in December! Our former ACE leader Jörg will join us again and has some little gifts for us. Stay tuned!

And the talks? This time...

...we'll hear about the Forge Platform - Capabilities and Boundaries from Johannes Kästle, Senior Consultant at TNG Technology Consulting.
Abstract:

The Forge platform, a framework for developing apps that are fully hosted on Atlassian's infrastructure, was announced at the Atlassian Open in 2019 and publicly released in February 2021. In this talk, we have a look at how the framework has progressed since then, and what its capabilities are based on some of the apps that we at TNG have developed and migrated to the Forge platform. We also take a look at restrictions we have encountered and what features might still be missing.
...and after a short break Björn Döhler, Co-CEO at re:solution will ask: How do you take time off without losing agility?
Abstract:
While remote and hybrid workplaces are settling down, many leaders are struggling to find the balance between wellbeing and productivity that works for everyone. One of the hard questions: how do we organize time off and not sacrifice team outcomes? Since agile teams are autonomous, should they enjoy total freedom in how they organize their time off? Should you define a policy that builds the right amount of structure into the time-off approval process? And how does such a policy look like? In this talk we will look at how to enable teams to be happier and less busy without compromising productivity. We will look at different angles and scenarios, like a 4 day-week, a multi-functional team but also a functional team like support or QA. For each of them, we will discuss which policies are enablers and which are counterproductive. The goal is none other than to help you define your own rules. Digging deeper into an implementation project: we will take a break from Jira using the Out of Office Assistant for Jira Cloud in combination with tools that pertain in the stack of any agile team like Slack, Outlook, Teams, or Google Calendar – among many others. And we will make sure that taking that break doesn’t create bottlenecks down the production line.
We'll end with networking and pizza and beer and Lebkuchen and Glühwein.
