My teammate has been trying to sign up for an account for Trello but received an email that "Your administrator has configured the application Atlassian Cloud SSO to block users unless they are specifically granted ("assigned") access to the application. The signed in user is blocked because they are not a direct member of a group with access nor had access directly assigned by an administrator. please contract your administrator to assign access to this application.

We are not sure how to support and have enquired our IT department as well! We have invited him to our Trello group but it seems he is not able to access it with this error message. We've all had no issues except for him so this is a mystery

The following configurations may affect user login through SSO. Please contact your Org administrator to check one by one.

Hello @Phang Su Hui ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This issue means that the user who is trying to log in is not assigned to the Atlassian Cloud Application in your Azure AD - please follow these steps:

  • Check the user is assigned to the Atlassian Cloud App in Azure AD.
  • Add the user to the Enforced SSO policy.
  • Ask the user to login again in an Incognito Window.
