Where does sprint data live?

Esther Strom Community Leader Apr 05, 2022

Looking at the schema generated for a data source containing Jira Software projects, I can't seem to see where sprint information is stored. I see tables for fix version mapping and affected version mapping, but nothing for sprint.

Hi Esther,

Thank you for your question. Sprint and board data aren't available yet in the Atlassian Data Lake, but they're on our roadmap. We understand how important this data is to users to have, and we appreciate the feedback.

@Krzysztof Achinger No ETA at the moment since there are some dependencies we're waiting on, but work has already started on it.

Thanks for the quick reply, Tracy. One of our biggest requests from users is for more robust sprint reporting, so it would really be extremely helpful to have that data available for querying.

@Tracy Chow would you be able to provide some estimation at least? I need to start working on a workaround (storing sprint value in custom field which is available in Atlassian Analytics) but maybe I can wait a bit if it is a matter of a few weeks? Anything will help, say H2 and I take it :)

@Krzysztof Achinger Yes, H2 - hopefully in Q3 :)

@Tracy Chow any update on this? We're now in Q4 and still don't see sprint data available.

@Esther Strom The sprint table is almost ready, just going through some data quality checks right now.

Here's a preview..
