We are excited to announce the launch of dashboard templates!

With dashboard templates, you can now choose from a selection of pre-built templates whenever you create a new dashboard. These templates are created by the Atlassian team to help you quickly get started on analyzing and visualizing your data. These templates will also serve as a great launchpad for building more customized and complex dashboards that suit your business needs!

How to use dashboard templates

When creating a new dashboard, you can either choose “Blank” to start with a blank dashboard or choose “Use a template” to start with a dashboard that is built from a template.

 

If you wish to use a template, you will be able to choose from a selection of pre-built templates. Prior to selecting a template, you will have to select an Atlassian data source that will be used to populate the data within your chosen template. The templates available for each data source will depend on the scope of data and the product data that it contains. For example, if your data source only contains data from Jira Software projects, then you will only see templates for Jira Software.

Note: With the launch of dashboard templates, the starter dashboards that you got when creating a new Atlassian Data Lake connection will no longer be generated. Instead, using the new dashboard templates, you will now be able to create the same dashboards any time you want, on-demand! All of the starter dashboards are included as dashboard templates, and we'll be adding more in the future.
