Zephyr test cycles and test steps not displaying due to Zephyr API returning 504

When loading a Zephyr test the test steps show a spinner forever. When loading a test cycle the page spins for 60 seconds and then displays a blank test cycle. When on test cycle page and using developer tools I see the call to https://prod-play.zephyr4jiracloud.com/connect/public/rest/api/1.0/cycles/search?versionId=15500&projectId=12500&expand=executionSummaries&_=1499094870615 returns a 504.
