Video of JIRA fields being hidden based off custom field (ScriptRunner)

Hello All,

I'm trying to make a request to purchase ScriptRunner but one of reasons I want this is to hide a custom field based on the results of another custom field. I'd like to test this functionality out myself to see if it works the way I'd expect but we share our JIRA with other teams at our company and they've already used up the free trials. Does anyone have a video of this behavior?

Hi Wes,

While it doesn't show hiding fields specifically, the demo in this video should give you a good idea how Behaviors (which comes with ScriptRunner) is going to function. They show making a second field mandatory based on the value of the first field, then they go through showing/hiding issue tabs based on a field.

I was also able to find a code example of what you're looking to do here. Between the two, I think you should be able to have confidence that it'll do what you expect.

Cheers,
Daniel
