Scriptrunner Behaviours

Edited

When defining a field behaviour, is it designed to be able to combine use of conditions built with the UI and a script? Or does it have to be one or the other?

I'm just looking at reducing the size of my script by defining some conditions and then using the script to polish the behaviour.

Thanks

Edit: Testing suggests it doesn't work.

Hi Stewie,

To answer your question :

When defining a field behaviour, is it designed to be able to combine use of conditions built with the UI and a script? Or does it have to be one or the other?

Yes, you can add scripts and condition that ties to a particular field in Behaviour. For more details on this you can go through our documentation link below :
https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/6.17.0/jira/tutorials/behaviours-tutorial.html

I'm just looking at reducing the size of my script by defining some conditions and then using the script to polish the behaviour.

If you go into the Behaviour configuration page you should be able to click the "add a new condition" link to add a condition as you can see from the screenshot below :

From there you can add several new conditions. You can also add server-side script alongside those conditions. You should be able to see the "add server-side script" link on the same page as well.

I am not sure if I answered your question.

If it does not answer your question. It would be great if you could provide an example of what you would like to achieve (e.g. the behavior script and configuration that you have) and I can assist you further from there

You probably want to provide more concise details on your use case. I have hard time to understand your question. 😂
