Require Linked issue with ScriptRunner

Daniel Juravski

Hi,

My goal is to require the user to insert a value into the issue linked issue.

On Jira, I can only to make the 'Linked Issues' field to be required, but not the issue it self.

image.pngI think that the way to do it is to add validator using the ScriptRuuner, but I don't success to write that tiny script.

Thanks.

You could use Behaviours to make both the fields required. Use this script in the initiliaser section of the behaviour:

getFieldById("issuelinks").setRequired(true)

Youre welcome! Thats what ScriptRunner does :)

Make sure you go back to Jira and change the field back to optional so it doesnt conflict with the behaviour.
