I wonder, if using the ScriptRunner console or any other functionality from the tool, it is possible to find information about a deleted issue, if the key is known.

Thank you in advance for your support in this community.

No.

There is no data for Scriptrunner to work with.  You've deleted it.

The best you can do is some inferences - assuming the simplest case where you delete ABC-123, and no other issues, you could write a script that looks at the previous and next issues created - ABC-122 and ABC-124 - you can infer that ABC-123's creation date was between their two created dates.

But that's about it.  I can't think of any other data you can extract given that there's no issue data there.

Hi Nic.

Thanks for the answer. As this topic has been discussed several times, I was  hoping, there is improvement here.

I found e.g. this discussion interesting: How do I find if an issue has been deleted

The Audit Log in Jira is also very helfpul to find or mention deleted versions, boards, filters, etc, but it looks like, not able to find deleted issues, even a mail event was sent with the information about the deletion.

No, you still can't do much reporting on data that is not there any more.

You do get emails about deletion, if the notification scheme is set for it.
