Copy the Sprint Value to a custom select list

JiRA Sprint field has more than one sprint name for spill over user stories. So, on the Two Dimensional gadget both the sprint name appears on the report. So, we have created a new custom single select list and pre loaded all the sprint names. How do we update the latest sprint value to this new custom field through Listeners/Behaviours. Every time when the sprint changes, this custom field should be updated
