Can I show the weekday in a Team Calendars Timeline

Is it possible to display the weekday when a Team Calendar is set to Timeline mode? Or is there another way to highlight the weekends?

As this isn't a built-in feature, I've asked for it it on the Feature Request below:

Please note on and follow it in case there are any workarounds discovered or any progress made on the feature.

I'm not aware of any workarounds to highlight the weekends, but if a user discovers such a thing they may be able to update here or on the feature request above.
