Hi,
My team wants to trial Hierarchy for Jira app. I’m seeing the Atlassian product access request (see attached image) when I try and access the app in any project.
We’d like to know the details of what this product access entails so we can request clearance from our IT department.
Thank you,
Monika
Hi Monika! I'm with the Hierarchy for Jira team.
The user consent you're seeing is part of Atlassian's process. Clicking on the "Allow Access" button will display the full permission list, here's what it looks like:
Every user will be prompted with this consent screen the first time they access the app, including the admin. It's an extra hoop to jump through, we know, but that's what Atlassian requires - though I've heard they're looking to simplify this process soon.
If it's helpful to understand, the permissions are required to display your information on Jira through the app (like issues, estimates, assignees, etc.), but we don't store any personal user data on the app itself.
Looking forward to see you using the app Monika! If you need any help, you're welcome to reach out to us anytime :)
