Crowd - Is it possible to bulk add a user to several groups

Running Crowd 2.7.12, and wondering if it is possible to in any other way than the GUI which is quite cumbersome if you need to add N number of users to X number of groups, in our current case 3 users to more than twenty groups.

Assuming that I could develop my own app doing it ref. https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CROWDDEV/Crowd+Remote+API+Reference but guessing that other people have had the same need I find it better to ask before starting to dive into the details about the API...

Problem solved: Importing Users from CSV Files did the trick!

Just note that in order to add the user/group-mappings we also needed an emtpy users.csv (Just the headers, no users) file available on the server since a user file was mandatory.

Then just after I have asked the question I find in the related questions to the right: Can I import multiple new users into multiple groups each using the .csv importer? This question then points to Importing Users from CSV Files - must review that option
