What happens to the shared teams if you stop using portfolio?

Hi,

We're exploring portfolio, but to be honest we are yet to understand how we use it.

But as part of our exploration I've moved everyone to only work with the "Team" field that came with portfolio.

Now my question is what happens to this field if we stop using portfolio? is it going to be removed and we will find ourselves with a broken workflow?

So.... we got to the end of the trial, and guess what - we couldn't use the team field. this is not good, as the team field is something very basic in JIRA even if we're not using portfolio.
