Tasks from Board Not Showing Up in Advanced Roadmap

Marcus Carney February 9, 2021

Hi all!

I have a Board with five Tasks under one Epic.  Four tasks are "In Progress", one is "To Do".

I created an Advanced Roadmap with this Board as its Issue Source.  The Advanced Roadmap only shows the Epic and one In Progress Task, and does NOT show any other tasks (so I am missing three Tasks from the Board in the Roadmap).

There are no filters applied to the roadmap, these are all child Tasks to the Epic, Hierarchy is  "Epic to Sub-task", all Tasks are story-pointed, and all due dates are within the range of the Roadmap.

Why wouldn't this Roadmap show all tasks from the source Board?  I have tried everything I can think of.  Thanks!

Hi @Marcus Carney

Here a few ideas to tick off the troubleshooting list:

  • Go to settings cog and check exclusion rules
  • Are the issues coming from Next-gen projects (they aren't compatible with AR)?
  • Try pulling in the whole project that contains the issues

Hi @Stuart C !  Thanks so much for the response!

In reverse order:

- I did try pulling the whole project, and the issues are still missing.

- No, these issues are all coming from the same project.

- I don't see any option for Exclusion Rules under the cog > Configure menu... does this mean there aren't any?  Are these rules somewhere else?  Sorry, like I said I'm fairly new to this, and appreciate the help.

I am experiencing the exact same symptoms.  I have multiple epics with multiple tasks (no stories) under it but only the first task shows in the plan.

In my case this is a brand new experimental plan so I used a project with a few items in it and started the plan fresh pulling the data in either by project or by board same results very plain default plan setup no exclusion rules created etc.

Update: for others who may see something similar I tracked down my issue to the fact that it was the completed items visible for x days setting.      Once that was set correctly all is as expected for me
